Best regards, Team LeCarage Register here A Future ClassicThe GTS wasn't revolutionary, but it was a masterful blend of the best features from other 911 models.
It borrowed the Turbo's wide body and extended rear track, utilized the 408bhp 3.8-litre engine from the Sport Classic, and included center-lock wheels from the GT3. This beauty only needs 4,2 seconds to get to 100 km/h. The revised front spoiler came from the accessories catalogue, while sports seats and active suspension management—typically options on lesser 911s—were standard. Unique touches included bespoke damper settings and a suede-lined interior. Notably, the rear seats were a no-cost option to make the car seem lighter, so be sure to tick that box unless you want to disappoint your children. We do not deny, the vast majority of the cars inside our Amsterdam sanctuary are Gentlemen. However, in this hall full of egos, came a young lady racer who will put everyone in his place on the track. Emma de Heus and her powerhouse from the Formula W series.
Emma de Heus and Her Formula 3 Machine Emma de Heus, a rising star in motorsport, has made significant strides in her career, from karting championships to the prestigious F1 Academy. Central to her recent success is the Formula 3 (F3) racing car, a marvel of modern motorsport engineering designed to push the boundaries of speed, agility, and precision. At the heart of this beast is a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine producing around 380 horsepower. This powerhouse offers an ideal balance between power and control, enabling the car to reach speeds exceeding 250 km/h with smooth yet aggressive acceleration. The car's body is crafted from lightweight composite materials, primarily carbon fiber, minimizing weight while maximizing strength. The aerodynamic design reduces drag and increases downforce, ensuring exceptional stability and handling at high speeds. Emma de Heus, with her formidable Formula 3 machine, is set to make a significant impact on the racing world. From its powerful engine and aerodynamic design to its advanced suspension and braking systems, every aspect of her car is optimized for speed, control, and precision. Emma is not just keeping up with her competitors; she's leading the pack and redefining what's possible on the track. We’re beyond excited to share that a gem of automotive history has just arrived at our Amsterdam storage depot – a fully restored 1957 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL. This stunning classic, with its gleaming silver exterior and luxurious red leather interior, epitomizes the elegance and craftsmanship of 1950s motoring.
The Mercedes-Benz 190 SL, first introduced in 1955, was the brainchild of designers Karl Wilfert and Walter Häcker. They envisioned a vehicle that combined the performance of a sports car with the luxury and comfort that Mercedes-Benz is renowned for. The result? A masterpiece on wheels. Our 1957 model exemplifies this vision with its sleek, aerodynamic lines and iconic front grille. The silver paintwork accentuates the car’s timeless design, making it a true head-turner. Step inside, and you’re greeted by a sumptuous red leather interior, meticulously restored to its original glory. The cabin, with its high-quality materials and attention to detail, offers a perfect blend of comfort and style, ensuring every drive feels like a special occasion. Underneath its elegant exterior, the 190 SL is powered by a 1.9-liter inline-four engine that delivers 104 horsepower. Coupled with a four-speed manual transmission, this classic beauty can reach a top speed of around 106 mph (171 km/h). While modest by today’s standards, the 190 SL provides a smooth and engaging driving experience that harkens back to a golden age of motoring. What truly sets this 1957 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL apart is its eligibility for the Mille Miglia, one of the most prestigious vintage car rallies in the world. The Mille Miglia, with its rich history and challenging routes through Italy’s picturesque landscapes, is a celebration of automotive heritage. Owning a Mille Miglia-eligible 190 SL not only signifies its historical significance but also offers the chance to participate in an event that few get to experience. The fully restored 1957 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL now in our collection is more than just a car – it’s a piece of history. Its exquisite design, luxurious interior, and Mille Miglia eligibility make it a prized possession for any collector or enthusiast. This classic continues to captivate hearts and minds, standing as a testament to the enduring allure of mid-20th century automotive design and engineering. |
